Brooklyn Nine Nine Episode Guide

Premise:
Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) is a brilliant but immature police detective whose professional career gets turned upside down when Brooklyn’s 99th precinct gets a new Captain (Andre Braugher). Jake’s partner is Detective Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), a clumsy but loyal friend who has a crush on the notoriously grumpy Detective Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz); Terry Crews also stars as Sergeant Terry, the squad leader who was taken off active duty after a breakdown in the field.

Trivia

When creators Michael Schur and Daniel Goor pitched the series, it set off a bidding war with the networks. Fox eventually won the bidding war and picked it up before there was even a script.
Nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Comedy in its first season.
Andy Samberg wasn’t even attached to the series when it was first ordered. He became available after Andy decided to leave Saturday Night Live that season.
Fox chose to air an episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine after the Superbowl this year. This is a highly coveted timeslot as it gives networks a chance to introduce new audiences to a television series.
Executive Producer Michael Schur has said that he wanted to take advantage of Brooklyn’s diversity on this series. You can find people of any size, shape, and background in Brooklyn. This is a huge contrast to Schur’s previous show ‘Parks and Recreation’, which is set in the fictional small town of Pawnee, Indiana.
Brooklyn Nine Nine won two golden globes at the 2014 ceremony: one for best comedy series, and the other for best lead actor in a comedy series (Andy Samberg)
